Virgin to the Blog (not to the Mic)

I used to be sooo against this. I honestly don't have a good reason why. I just didn't get the whole blogging phenom. I was introduced to blogging almost three years ago and sorely refused to follow the trend. And here I am, years later, joining the millions of bloggers in the blogosphere galaxy.
Happy Monday righteous people. This blog is dedicated to this thing I'm working on...my first natural love and my second spiritual love: music. I'm an up and coming singer in New York City...ruling and reigning from the MiDwEsT's BeSt city: C-H-I-C-A-G-O!
Pursing a musical career as an artist in NYC is the emotional rollercoaster that Vivian Green so eloquently described a few years back. Since, this passion is my stand in boyfriend right now, I can totally relate. This process is sometimes the greatest joy of the day, and at other times the greatest pain that won't go away.

I moved to NYC in the summer of 2005, but I've been on this personal, spiritual quest with music since adolescense. At the end of last summer, the final straw broke inside me, and I was propelled by the forces within to pursue a career in music wholeheartedly. So here I am...no STOP, no DROP, and no ROLL...just on automatic GO!!!

I hope you stay with me on the journey, no matter how rocky and bumpy. All that lies ahead is victory. You can look forward to pictures of rehearsals in the greatest, underground studio located in Jamaica, Queens (Da Edge of Madness) featuring the talented veteran in the music world, producer/engineer/vocal coach "EdRoc;" videos of performances in and around NYC; kool and talented music heads I meet everyday along the way, and most importantly...you get my greatest offering, my heart and my voice - pure for your personal edification!
